Amex Readies a Data Warehouse

EXCHANGE TECHNOLOGIES

NEW YORK--The American Stock Exchange (Amex) is readying a state-of-the-art data warehouse for its post-trade and surveillance staff that it hopes will be ready by the end of the year.

Amex officials want to cut operating costs, better regulate member firm activity, improve equity order flow analysis and enhance decision support with the new data warehouse.

Amex is building its multiple terabyte (TB) warehouse of quotes and orders based upon Oracle’s relational database offerings and Reveleus
