Now the truth can be told! When Sun Microsystems debuted the LX50 (now priced at $1,995), there was speculation (vaguely denied by Sun) that it was using Red Hat's distribution of Linux (TTW, Aug. 12, 2002). There were even inside reports that the Red Hat logo popped up on LX50 screens when the boxes were booted up. Sun officials maintain that they were working on their own Linux flavor for its Intel-based hardware. Suddenly, with the red-hatted Linux wolves at the door, Sun has agreedOnly users who have a paid subscription or are part of a corporate subscription are able to print or copy content.
