Bats Set to Enhance Sponsored Access

"There will be further enhancements to the sponsored access tools that will be implemented here in the U.S. as well as in Europe," says Chris Isaacson, COO of Bats Exchange. "We see a market need for that as members come to us saying they need more tools for sponsored access."

The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on Jan. 13 voted to draft a rule proposal limiting sponsored access. The SEC is currently working on the proposal, which is likely to affect how trading venues such as Bats
