Deustche Börse, NYSE Confirm Merger Talks
Officials from Deutsche Börse and NYSE Euronext confirm that the exchange operators are in advanced discussions regarding a merger but that a formal deal has not yet been struck.
According to statements from Deutsche Börse, the two parties expect to enter an all-stock transaction under a new holding company, which will be incorporated in the Netherlands. The German exchange operator looks to be the senior partner, with 59 to 60 percent interest in the new company, and NYSE Euronext holding
