Critics See 'Significant Risk' in Deutsche Börse-NYSE Merger

Block-crossing network provider Liquidnet has spoken out against the merger of Deutsche Börse and NYSE Euronext, saying there is "significant risk" involved with the integration of the exchange operators' trading technology.
"Everyone knows there will be issues when you try to merge two independent trading systems," says Per Lovén, head of corporate strategy and product, EMEA, Liquidnet Europe. "There will be a lot of moving parts on each side and a lot of legacy systems that have to be taken
