TSE Nears End of Futures Migration

The Tokyo Stock Exchange (TSE) expects to complete the migration of derivatives trading to the exchange's Tdex+ platform by Nov. 21, according to exchange officials.

TSE launched the Tdex+ platform, which is based on NYSE Euronext's Liffe Connect matching engine, in 2008 with plans to consolidate futures and options trading onto a single platform.

"We are going from an auction model in futures trading to a market-making model," says Yoshinori Suzuki, senior managing director and CIO of the TSE.
