Kx Upgrade Improves Performance, Storage

Tick database and analysis software vendor Kx Systems has released version 3.0 of its Kdb+ analytics database, which leverages the Advanced Vector Extensions on Intel's latest chipsets to deliver performance improvement of up to three times for internal arithmetic functions, and simplifies storage by removing restrictions on the length of individual vectors in the database, meaning that Kdb+ requires less space for internal processes and "housekeeping."

In addition, the vendor has integrated
