It has been a momentous week in the legal journeys of Europe's two more infamous rogue traders. Jérôme Kerviel has officially lost his appeal, leaving only France's highest court of cassation and, perhaps, the European Court of Human Rights as means of avoiding a three-year jail sentence for manipulating Société Générale's Delta One desk trading activities beyond his authority, losing $7 billion in the process in 2008.
