Verizon Upgrade Brings Aurora-NJ Fiber Route to Sub-15 Milliseconds
Telecoms and network provider Verizon's Enterprise Solutions division has upgraded the equipment supporting its fiber network between Chicago and key datacenters in New Jersey -- part of its Verizon Financial Network -- and created a direct route into CME Group's co-location center in Aurora, Ill., to provide lower-latency connectivity between equities and futures markets for algorithmic trading firms.
