BAML Exec: "Granular Data Creates Aggregation Challenges"

Firms are facing challenges to aggregate the more granular data that is being used in risk reports, an executive from Bank of America Merrill Lynch (BAML) told delegates at the North American Financial Information Summit in New York this week.

Prabhat Vaish, New York-based director of capital markets and risk IT management at BAML, said more granular data is now required for risk management, which creates challenges for firms when they have to aggregate it.
