Solarflare Eyes Datacenter Uses Beyond Trading with New Adapters
The vendor's upcoming line of adapters will expand its potential addressable market with new use cases beyond high-performance trading environments.
The Flareon Ultra SFN8500 family Ethernet adapters will be available next month, and have been designed for large-scale, high-performance datacenter environments utilized by mission-critical data applications at exchanges, banks, and other market participants. The 40 Gigabit Ethernet (GigE) SFN8542 and 10GigE SFN8522 adapters combine features that enable datacenters to implement hardware-based micro-segmentation with an enterprise-managed gateway in every server.
