Overnight trading gets another boost with deal between FactSet’s LiquidityBook and Blue Ocean

FactSet’s recently acquired LiquidityBook OMS will grant buy-side clients access to overnight trading on Blue Ocean.

News—both good and bad—moves markets. Les Vital, principal sales specialist at LiquidityBook, observed that last year, when aerospace manufacturer Boeing experienced yet another period of bad press after one of its planes lost a door plug midway through a flight. Vital says he received an influx of messages from clients who said they wished they could trade on the news but were unable to respond to market events outside of normal trading hours.

The Boeing incident is just one of a growing number
