Two weeks ago, I was chatting with Kelly Littlepage, CEO and cofounder of OneChronos. The alternative trading system had recently launched a new spot FX trading venue, so it seemed like a good time to catch up.

As we spoke, the company was on the verge of hitting a significant milestone: $3 trillion traded on its market. OneChronos differs from other ATSs through its use of a combinatorial auction, a form of a smart market.
