Bloomberg Means Business When It Comes To Openness (Global License, Anyone?)


AH, the Bloomberg. Once upon a time it was definitely closed. And then one day it became "Open." Alas, a bit later, Mike Bloomberg himself said it was in fact "still essentially ... closed." But later still, after Welsh Carson Anderson & Stowe's Bruce Anderson called it "closed" in an influential daily newspaper, everybody at Bloomberg was calling it "open" again. And so it goes.

Well, the news today from 499 Park Ave. is that Bloomberg has in fact taken yet another--and this a fairly good-sized-
