NEW YORK--As usual, the annual Securities Industry Association Technology Management Conference was flush with sell-side trading systems, and it was easy for a buy-side user to feel lost in the shuffle. In fact, some vendors of asset management systems did no more than make token appearances, but despite the absence of any blockbuster buy-side oriented news, there were a few interesting tidbits. If there was one common theme, it was the almost universal presence of browser-based applications
