Building a Better Trading Interface

I recently attended a press briefing about Bloomberg's new Launchpad 2010 application for  Bloomberg Professional, which lets users customize and share content in some remarkable ways. I haven't had a chance to check out Bloomberg rival Thomson Reuters' Eikon display yet, but when both vendors release major display changes in such close proximity, I get the feeling that the face of trading is about to go through its next major generational change.

First, there were the green screen terminals
