Accuracy Trumps Speed in Algorithmic Trading

Speed is quickly giving way to accuracy as the most important differentiator in algorithmic trading, according to executives of brokers, service providers and investment firms who spoke during a panel discussion at last week's Futures Industry Association (FIA) conference in Chicago.

"It's all well and good to send out a thousand orders a second, but what about the 998 orders that need to be managed?" says Alexander Lamb, executive board member and senior vice president of business development
