As I walked through the New York conference hosted by sibling publication Search Engine Strategies (SES), I came across a booth for The Trade Desk, a demand-side platform that allows marketers to buy all forms of online media in a manner similar to securities, but that serves only the online marketing and advertising industry. It made me wonder if the vendor's current clientele will remain the same as media, the internet and financial services continue to rapidly evolve.
