FIS Acquires Virtus to Expand Managed Services in Credit Space

FIS is looking to integrate Virtus technology platforms into its back-office solutions.

FIS wants to bolster its managed services offerings in the credit markets now that it has completed its majority stake acquisition of credit and alternative investment services provider Virtus Partners.

Andrew Bateman, executive vice president for capital markets solutions at FIS, says the acquisition gives the company a chance to expand into offering managed services in the credit markets, and add more technology platforms to its suite.
