I immediately thought that someone, somewhere should put together a CIO/CTO survival guide soon for securities firms large and small. If done right, such a guide could prevent the unnecessary sacking of many IT execs. Paradoxically, the demand for such a guide would be great now, because large-scale projects are beginning to take root again. Almost as an act of ‘90s nostalgia, trading floors in New York and London are being built or "refreshed" during a window of opportunity in this tenuous
