As in the credit risk category, Numerix staged an upset­—in this case, of two-time winner Algorithmics—and took the Best Risk Analytics Provider award. Interactive Data and SunGard finished second and third, respectively. 

Numerix made major strides in the cloud realm in 2012. In May, it allowed clients of its Numerix Portfolio valuation tool for pricing and hedging to access Microsoft’s Windows Azure cloud computing environment, providing them with extra capacity for running compute-intensive
