US-based buy-side firms are avoiding sending trades to certain dark pools in order to prevent being gamed, according to Young Kang, global head of algorithmic products with Citi.
Trading firms are increasingly concerned about transparency and knowing exactly where their orders are being routed, while some are even avoiding particular pools altogether, Kang says.
