New Script for Options Symbology Testing Addresses October Trial-Run Glitches

CHICAGO - The Options Clearing Corporation (OCC) has released a new industry testing script, an amended version aimed at solving testing environment issues experienced by exchanges participating in the first industry-wide options symbology initiative (OSI) test on October 10, officials tell Inside Reference Data.

The OSI, which involves the move from three-or-more-character option symbols used for communicating with the OCC to 21-character symbols, will affect all firms handling US options data
