Amid Layoffs, Quick America Abandons Quick Trace; Product Targeted Buy Side

Quick America Corp., the U.S.-based subsidiary of Japan's Quick Corp., has decided to discontinue development and marketing for Quick Trace, its long-delayed, highly unsuccessful North America-oriented quote service. A key marketplace for the product was to have been buy-side institutions in the U.S. But one source close to Quick says that the vendor's efforts to sell the product in this marketplace came up way short.
