Amid Layoffs, Quick America Abandons Quick Trace; Product Targeted Buy Side

Quick America Corp., the U.S.-based subsidiary of Japan's Quick Corp., has decided to discontinue development and marketing for Quick Trace, its long-delayed, highly unsuccessful North America-oriented quote service. A key marketplace for the product was to have been buy-side institutions in the U.S. But one source close to Quick says that the vendor's efforts to sell the product in this marketplace came up way short. This source says that at the time Quick America decided to discontinue
