Wells Fargo Investment Tests FD's MIPS For Managers, Traders

Wells Fargo Nikko Investment Advisors (WFNIA) is testing a UNIX-based pilot of FD Consulting Inc.'s MIPS feed-handling and workstation software. The pilot will be used to decide which hardware platforms to roll out to WFNIA's managers and traders in San Francisco. Aside from providing access to real-time market data services and workstation-based applications, MIPS will allow WFNIA's managers to use the Quantex order-routing system operated by Jefferies & Co.'s Investment Technology Group
