OTC Markets Adds Benchmark Indexes

The new indexes are the OTCQX Composite Index, which comprises US and foreign stocks and American Depositary Receipts as a benchmark for tracking overall performance of OTCQX; the OTCQX US Index, which tracks performance of US companies; and the OTCQX International Index, which comprises more than 200 international companies.

OTC Markets is making real-time data for the indexes available via data vendors and other information providers. The indexes are calculated by Frankfurt-based custom index provider Solactive AG, which compiles, calculates, maintains and disseminates the index values for OTC Markets.

"These new indexes provide institutional asset managers the benchmarks they need to make informed decisions and highlight OTCQX companies as a more attractive asset class for a wider range of investors," says OTC Markets president and chief executive Cromwell Coulson, in a statement.

The new indexes join OTC Markets' existing OTCQX30 Index, which tracks the 30 largest ADRs on OTCQX, and is calculated by BNY Mellon Indices.
