Datacode Set To Launch Energy Information Services Network

Port Jefferson, N.Y.-based software developer Datacode Inc. is developing a wide-area data collection and distribution network for the energy industry. The new service, which is expected to go into operation within three months, will collect and distribute energy prices and such other industry-specific information as oil tanker prices and location. As part of the network, Datacode will provide a messaging capability that could be used for transactional purposes.
