Blurring the Edges

When I first started out in financial journalism, I used to wonder what made a firm a "financial services" organization rather than just a bank, broker or investment manager. Now I'm wondering—prompted by Goldman Sachs' addition of Web search technology provider Connotate to the bank's Hudson Street Services suite—how we can expect that definition to evolve.
