Industry Welcomes G-20 Support For LEI

Industry participants have welcomed an expression of support for the legal entity identifier (LEI) from the Group of Twenty Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors (G-20), but emphasized that action now needs to be taken to get the LEI enacted in regulations around the world.

“We underscored our support for a global legal entity identifier system which uniquely identifies parties to financial transactions with an appropriate governance structure representing public interest,” the G-20
