LEI Implementation Will Not Be Delayed By ISO Ballot Result

The implementation of the legal entity identifier (LEI) will not be delayed as a result of the need for the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) to work through comments made about its standard, industry participants have said.

ISO 17442 received unanimous support from ISO member bodies in a ballot that concluded last week. However, the standard is not expected to be published until “probably first quarter to second quarter” 2012 because the ISO must work through “three or four”
