Markit Readies Swaps Identification for September Launch

Data services provider Markit and the International Swaps and Derivatives Association (ISDA) are working with market participants to expand Markit's process for RED reference entity and obligation codes into a process that can address ISDA's standard reference obligation (SRO) requirement for credit default swaps (CDS), according to Gautam Moorjani, New York-based managing director and global head of reference data at Markit.

FCA declines to directly regulate market data prices

A year-long investigation by the UK regulator to determine whether competition is hindered in the wholesale data markets has concluded with its decision not to directly regulate much-maligned data pricing and licensing structures.
