Barclays Joins Swift's KYC Data Utility Project
Barclays has become the 11th bank to participate in a project by Swift to create a central utility for know-your-customer (KYC) data.
Swift, a provider of data and messaging services, announced in March it is working with Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Citi, Commerzbank, JP Morgan, Société Générale and Standard Chartered to create the Swift KYC Registry, which will collect and distribute the data most commonly needed by banks for their due diligence work.
