LuxCSD repository serves the Luxembourg market

Central securities repository LuxCSD has gone live with its legal entity identifier (LEI) issuance service for Luxembourg-based entities and investment funds.

European Union firms must have LEIs, the unique codes that connect to key reference information for identifying companies and securities, to report derivatives trades under the European Market Infrastructure Regulation. LuxCSD is endorsed as a pre-local operating unit to issue LEIs, a pre-requisite for using Luxembourg LEIs for reporting
