UnaVista Launches Testing Environment for MiFIR Reporting

Credit Suisse among clients now testing capabilities

Users of the UnaVista platform can now test its transaction reporting capabilities for the Markets in Financial Instruments Regulation (MiFIR/MiFID II), the London Stock Exchange Group has announced.

Credit Suisse is among clients that have begun doing the user acceptance testing since it began a week ago, running live data through the transaction reporting system, according to Mike Leach, managing director of global business development for software at UnaVista.

FCA declines to directly regulate market data prices

A year-long investigation by the UK regulator to determine whether competition is hindered in the wholesale data markets has concluded with its decision not to directly regulate much-maligned data pricing and licensing structures.
