Bloomberg Crafting New Feed for RMDS
TRADING FLOOR TECHNOLOGIES
NEW YORK--Bloomberg is planning to introduce a stand-alone, real-time data feed and is working with at least two software houses to develop feed handlers to the Reuters Market Data System (RMDS), say several industry sources (Inside Market Data, May 26).
A spokesperson for Bloomberg says, "I cannot comment on any discussions we are taking part in."
The renewed talk of a Bloomberg feed has triggered speculation that Bloomberg will take on Reuters in the middle and back offices.
