Texas endowment fund opts for general overhaul

The Texas Treasury Safekeeping Trust Company (TTSTC), a $50 billion Austin-based investment management unit of the state comptroller's office, implemented Riskdata's FOFiX risk management and portfolio construction system to support efforts, begun in early 2008, to diversify holdings and increase exposures to alternative investments.

TTSTC uses FOFiX specifically for a $3 billion pool of endowments including funds from the state's Tobacco Settlement Permanent Trust, established to manage funds
