Three former Vestek Systems Inc. officials--two of whom were among that company's founders--have formed a new investment systems and consulting company called Argent Investment Services Inc. The San Francisco-based Argent plans to develop Microsoft Corp. Windows-based portfolio management and analytic systems and to offer investment technology consulting services to large investment management firms. Not surprisingly, the new company looks to compete with Vestek, a developer of portfolio
