Frankfurt Summit Attendees Report Low Awareness of LEI Plans

After a keynote presentation on the introduction of a legal entity identifier (LEI) at the Frankfurt Financial Information Summit this week, around 60% of delegates admitted they were new to the topic.

Conference-goers were asked if they had been aware of the ongoing talks about the LEI before the presentation by Francis Gross, head of external statistics, European Central Bank, but only around 40% said "yes."

Panelists, however, said now they know more about the developments in the legal entity

FCA declines to directly regulate market data prices

A year-long investigation by the UK regulator to determine whether competition is hindered in the wholesale data markets has concluded with its decision not to directly regulate much-maligned data pricing and licensing structures.
