CME Group and New York-based trading infrastructure technology provider Strike Technologies are separately looking at other opportunities to deploy microwave data transmission technologies to reach new user bases and market places, after announcing a deal to connect CME’s co-location center in Aurora, Illinois to Nasdaq OMX’s datacenter in Carteret, NJ, using microwave transmission to significantly reduce data latency between the exchanges.
