Bloomberg, MTS expand portfolio trading to EGBs

The platform providers will follow Tradeweb with the extension of the popular credit protocol.

Bond trading platforms are extending their portfolio trading capabilities to European government bonds in an attempt replicate the protocol’s recent success in credit markets.

Bloomberg plans to offer portfolio trading in European government bonds (EGBs) later this year, following in the footsteps of Tradeweb, which was first out of the gates with the service in April.
