IRD Awards Include Big Wins For Fenergo, Interactive Data

Fenergo and Interactive Data each scored two wins in the Inside Reference Data Awards presented alongside the Inside Market Data Awards on the evening of Wednesday, May 21. Some winners broke others' multi-year streaks in certain categories, and some winners recaptured awards they had won in prior years.
Fenergo won best Enterprise Data Management Initiative by a Vendor and best Enterprise Data Management Initiative for a User, in conjunction with its client Scotiabank. Interactive Data won best Evaluated Prices Service Provider and overall Best Reference Data Provider.
SIX Financial Information extended its streak to a fifth straight honor as best Corporate Actions Data Vendor.
GoldenSource won best Enterprise Data Management Vendor for the second year in a row, as Broadridge did with the best Managed Service for Reference Data award, and Bloomberg PolarLake did with the best Reference Data Integration Vendor award first introduced last year. SmartStream also won a category for the second year in a row, as best Corporate Actions Vendor, a prize it has won six times in all.
Thomson Reuters recaptured the best Counterparty Data Provider award it last won in 2008. Avox had won this award the past five years. Avox did win the best Reference Data Initiative by a Vendor this year.
BNY Mellon was recognized for work with several firms, winning the best Reference Data Initiative (User), with Citibank, JP Morgan, DTCC, Finra and GlobeTAX.
Markit, which won two Inside Market Data Awards during the night, also was honored with an inaugural Above and Beyond Award for its charitable efforts, raising $2.2 million over eight years for children's cancer research charity the St. Baldrick's Foundation.
