Reuters SDS3 Demo: Ku-Band Satellite Network Integrates North American Services
THIS WEEK'S LEAD STORIES
Reuters Information Services, Inc. recently demonstrated a version of its hush-hush Satellite Data Systems 3 (SDS3) project, which is designed to integrate on one satellite network virtually all of the company's North American services.
Reuters refuses to confirm or deny the demo or even to acknowledge that an SDS3 project exists. Details of the demo were contained in a schematic diagram obtained by TST. Many details of this schematic were independently confirmed by sources close to Reuters.
