Reporting from the SIA Front


This year’s Securities Industry Association (SIA) Technology Management Conference and Exhibit didn’t disappoint. The crammed New York Hilton felt as if the nearly 10,000 participants who were expected actually showed up. There was a lot of buzz around Microsoft and .Net, a rediscovery of private wealth management technologies and plenty of FIX innovations (see related story, this issue).

As I made my rounds, I learned that SunGard had lots of news and one of the best parties. On the news front
